Is it better to take vitamins in the morning or at night? And does it matter what kind of liquid I take them with? I usually take them with hot tea.
You should take vitamins and minerals with meals when your digestion is most active and you can get maximum absorption. Vitamins and minerals that boost energy (ginseng, spirulina) are best in the morning and should be avoided before bedtime.
What you drink doesn’t really affect how your body absorbs the vitamins or supplements, just make sure you are getting a sufficient amount of fluids in your system to make sure the nutrients are digested properly and evenly distributed through your body.

I cannot take anything that contains fish oil, does Elations contain any fish oil or any fish products?
No, Elations does not contain fish oil, fish products or fish allergens. Oils rich in omega-3 fatty acids however, such as Fish Oil, Chia Oil and Flax Oil, can be of benefit. These fatty acids, which include EPA (eicosapentaenoic), DHA (docosahexaenoic) and ALA (alpha linolenic acid) are essential since they cannot be synthesized by the body.

I’ve been hearing a lot about liquid vitamins and supplements. How do I know if they’re right for me?
Liquid nutrition is more absorbable in the body therefore some people take liquid vitamins or supplements because they feel faster results versus the pill form. Liquid nutrition can be beneficial if:
- You have age-related poor digestion or loss of appetite
- Too busy to eat and don’t get enough fiber in your diet
- You have difficulty swallowing pills
- If you have undergone surgery or chemotherapy. Typically these treatments can diminish gastric function so liquid supplements are a better source for nutrition

I already take Glucosamine for my joint pain. Why should I include Chondroitin too?
While Glucosamine helps rebuild joint cartilage, chondroitin is an important supplement because it is structural component of cartilage and provides much of its resistance to compression, cushioning the joint.
Our body naturally produces glucosamine but as we get older and put wear and tear on the joints, glucosamine does not regenerate itself.
The National Institute of Health recently completed a Glucosamine Arthritis Intervention Trial that found Glucosamine and Chondroitin—at the same levels found in a single bottle of Elations—helped improve joint health for people with moderate-to-severe problems.

My husband is allergic to shellfish. Does your Glucosamine contain any shell fish? - Patty
Unlike many Glucosamine products, the Glucosamine in Elations is derived from corn through a wet milling process. It is not derived from and does not contain any shellfish, so no shellfish allergy warning is required.

How can I relieve digestion discomfort?
Many digestive problems can be prevented with lifestyle changes. Poor eating habits, such as eating too quickly or skipping meals, can result in digestive discomfort. Be sure to eat food slowly, chewing thoroughly.
In addition, eating a balanced diet can help you avoid digestive discomfort. Avoid eating too much processed food and sugar, and instead incorporate more fiber, fruits, and vegetables into your diet.
Listen to your body and be conscience of what certain foods make you feel uneasy. Try changing your diet based on those foods and see if you feel any difference. Consult your physician too for he or she may be able to run some blood tests to determine any food allergies.

I have been told I need a hip replacement. (I have maybe 1 mm of cartilage left) I have also been told cartilage does not rebuild. Is elations the same as supple? - Ann
Dear Ann,
You can rejuvenate cartilage, but only if you are not completly depleted of it. Taking supplements such as Elations provides joints with a supply of the essential building blocks needed to renew cartilage.

My husband is a diebatic, how much sugar does elations contain? - Alice
Hi Alice,
Elations is 30 calories per bottle and contains just 1 gram of sugar. If your husband is diabetic, we recommend he monitors his glucose level per guidance from his doctor.
