Boron reduces the formation of neutrophils, which are created when the body fights an infection. Neutrophils produce free radicals and nitric oxide, which lead to tissue destruction and chronic inflammation (Janeway et al., 2005). [1] If you can minimize the presence of neutrophils, you can reduce joint pain!
In addition, research suggests that Boron may reduce tissue damage from inflammation by increasing activities of key antioxidant enzymes that fight free radicals (Hunt and Idso, 1999), (Pawa and Ali, 2004). [2]
